HOW WOULD YOU EXPLAIN YOUR SOUND?
Crunchy guitar tones and fun rhythms stitched together with husky vocals. Think Pearl Jam mixed with Rush.
WHAT’S THE MOST INTERESTING EXPERIENCE YOU’VE HAD WHILE PERFORMING?
Oorf, so hard to pick! Our first ever show as a band was a crazy night. About 60 seconds into our opening track “The Ocean”, right as it finally kicks into gear, the power in Annerley (including The Back Room where we were playing) completely cut! We had an alright crowd at the time, and although it might have seemed like an inconvenience, it just felt like an omen that Annerley wasn’t ready for us to rock so hard! It ended up taking almost 2 hours for power to restore, by which point everyone was pretty drunk and rowdy, and it was an incredible first show.
Performing to a pretty full room at Woolly Mammoth for our EP launch last April was surreal too. Particularly, having a big room sing our songs back at us was everything you dream of as a kid. Although, (and I shit you not this genuinely happened), there was one show where a teenage boy got out of his motorised wheelchair to dance with his Dad to our music, which we all agree is the coolest reaction to a gig ever.
WHERE TO IN THE FUTURE?
We’re about to head off on our first East Coast tour, including our Single Launch at Woolly Mammoth on 5/5 and a huge support show for UK prog rockers Haken. There’ll be plenty more content being released this year with awesome shows to go along with it!
